Security Options

There are various ways to protect your identity and increase security from within your Client Portal Account:

  1. Two-Factor Authentication. Using apps like Google Authenticator on your iPhone or Android device, you can ensure that access to your account is extremely secure. Google Authenticator enables two-factor protection meaning your normal password and a one-time code (generated by Google Authenticator) is required each time you access your account.
  2. Security Questions. So we can verify your identity when communicating with you and provide a secure way of resetting your account password, you should set up a security question. As with Two-Factor Authentication, this is another layer of security that will greatly enhance protection against malicious activity.

How to Implement Security Questions

The above options can be accessed from within your Client Portal Account by following the below instructions:

  • Log-In to the Control Panel.
  • Click on your name (top right) to reveal a menu.
  • Click on the Security Settings menu item.
  • Click on the Change Security Questions Tab.
  • Follow the instructions to create a security question and answer.

To set up Two-Factor Authentication using Time-Based Tokens:

  1. Log-In to the Control Panel.
  2. Click on your name (top right) to reveal a menu.
  3. Click on the Security Settings menu item.
  4. Click on the Two-Factor Authentication Tab.
  5. Click  Enable.
  6. Select Time-Based Tokens.
  7. Click Get Started.
  8. Scan the QR code with an authenticator app like Google Authenticator or Duo Mobile.
  9. Enter the 6-digit code that the authenticator app generates.
  10. Click Submit.
  11. Record the Backup Code in a safe place.
  12. Click Close.
